**Te**kōwhiringa | The Opportunity**

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Asset Manager to join our team supporting the Rangitīkei Roading Maintenance contract, you will lead and provide technical asset management services, ensuring the long-term sustainability of assets and fostering strong client relationships. You will oversee the implementation of asset management excellence, guiding contract teams to meet the highest standards of performance, quality, and safety. Your leadership will drive both operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the asset management process.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and promotion of systems and processes that improve asset management efficiency and service delivery
- Work with the Contract Manager to design and implement training and succession plans, enhancing the technical capabilities of contract teams
- Collaborate with the bid team to provide accurate asset estimates and identify potential risks and opportunities within tender submissions
- Lead the analysis of asset conditions, providing expert input into selection of renewal treatments and ensuring that these are both cost effective and aligned with client requirements
- Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients and suppliers, ensuring timely resolution of issues and identifying opportunities for value added services
- Work collaboratively with contract teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop and implement effective safety policies and procedures

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following qualifications and experience:

- A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with extensive industry experience in asset management
- Proven experience in asset management, with a track record of successfully leading and coaching teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simply complex technical issues for diverse audiences
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on collaboration, excellence, and integrityStrong commercial acumen and a passion for driving business results
