A vacancy exists for a Group Engineering Manager at our processing plants. Based in Hastings but has responsibility across four sites.

This position will be a key member of the group management team, responsible for overseeing maintenance of plants and third-party contracts. Working alongside the management team, you will ensure the company’s efficient updating and maintaining of maintenance schedules. You will be well supported through our wider group of project managers and engineers.

You will build strong working relationships with our production team and engineering. You will lead and support our engineering teams, ensuring continuous improvement in processing.

Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

- Sound knowledge of technical and compliance requirements for a modern production plant, (food preferred) either through tertiary qualification or broad-based work experience
- Strong people management skills
- Collaborate with all stakeholders through regular team meetings, engaging Commercial and Technical stakeholders
- Computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems and databases
- Exemplary communication and organisational skills
- The ability to listen to feedback and implement change where required
- Positive attitude with the ability to work under pressure at times.
- Must be practical and willing to take a hands-on approach to solving problems
