**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Model and analyse stationary and rotating components in Oil & Gas and Power industries for structural integrity using ABAQUS FE software.
- Undertake Linear and Non-linear stress analysis, Thermo-mechanical analysis, Fracture Mechanics analysis, Fitness-For-Service assessments and Remnant life assessments.
- Create and modify SolidWorks (3D CAD software) models of stationary and rotating components to support FE model development.
- Interpretation of the FE analysis results to be used for performing a Fitness-For-Service Assessment.
- Document analysis objectives, assumption, results and conclusions using a standard report template.
- Enhance current standard analysis and validation procedures to improve model accuracy and / or improve execution speed.
- Cooperatively work with material and/or corrosion engineers to correlate and validate analysis procedures.
**KNOWLEDGE AND REQUIREMENTS**:

- A relevant tertiary degree.
- 3 to 5 years' experience with Finite Element Analyses using general purpose commercial software (e.g. Abaqus, Nastran, Ansys, Permas, etc.)
- Competent with finite element analysis techniques.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve challenging goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to understand customer requirements and deliver reports to deadline.
- Able to handle the pressure of delivering reports and presentations to clients.
- A flexible and adaptive approach to working and time management.
- Willingness to travel as and when required to get the job done.
- Residency or able to obtain a valid work permit to work in New Zealand.
