**Your duties will include**:

- Collaborating with the Team Leader to peer review resource consents.
- Assisting with the resource management aspect of Building Consents and LIM’s.
- Handling LGOIMA requests proficiently.
- Representing the Council at hearings and providing comprehensive reports to the Hearings Commissioner/s.
- Managing Section 223 and 224 Certifications and related legal documents.
- Ensuring adherence to the District Plan to maintain community expectations and compliance.
- Leading or participating in cross-disciplinary projects on strategic issues as needed.
- A tertiary degree or master's qualification in Planning, Resource Management, or a related field.
- Membership or eligibility for full membership with the New Zealand Planning Institute.
- Practical experience in resource management within local government or private practice.
- Advanced knowledge of legislation and professional practices pertinent to resource management and local governance.
