We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Checkout Manager to join our team.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The primary role of the Checkout Manager is to supervise the checkout team members and ensure the day to day running of Lotto and Café. The roles include maintenance of records according to store policy, to manage, train and develop checkout operators and supervisors, to enforce legislative requirements and to assist with providing fantastic customer service and delivering high standards.

**Essential job functions of this role**
- Ensuring our customers get the very best service at all times inline with our customer promises
- Co-ordinating training and development of all staff
- Ensuring the rosters is based around the customer flow and the checkout team is hitting productivity KPI’s
- Ensuring processes and procedures are adhered to at all times
- Undertaking necessary administrative functions of the role
- Know when to open more checkouts, help operators under pressure and still be capable of handling paperwork

**THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL REQUIRE**:
Supermarket and/or Retail experience
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Fantastic customer service experience
- Proven Leadership Skills
- Very Strong Customer and results focus
- Strong relationship builder, team player, honesty and flexibility
- Strong organisational and communication skills yet be approachable and calm under pressure
- Maintaining high standards and eye for detail
- Been driven with excellent work ethic and attitude
- Taking ownership of tasks
- Working a weekend day /Nights

The days and hours will be discussed at an interview. Applicants must have NZ residency or the legal right to work in New Zealand.
