**About this role**:
This is a unique opportunity for a Senior Architectural Designer to join a company that is much more than a building firm and is leading Auckland as the one-stop consultancy for building beautiful, architecturally designed homes across New Zealand.

Responsibilities in this role will include meeting with the client, establishing the design brief, developing design concepts in consultation with the client, considering materials and costs according to set budgets in collaboration with the in-house Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors. As a senior member of a team of Architectural Technicians, the purpose of this role is to produce documentation for building consents that ensure maximum efficiencies in the area of document control, building consent information and lodgment.

This is a Team Leader role with 3 direct reports.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Ensuring compliance to relevant codes and standards
- Compile and submit building consent documentation
- Review of designs/making modifications
- Provide procurement specifications to the QS team
- Be an active member of the firm's design committee

**To be considered you will**:

- Be an experienced designer/draughtsman/architect who is looking for a step-up role
- Be a registered Architect or LBP2 qualified
- Have a flair for beautiful and functional design
- Have a sound knowledge and understanding of NZ Building Codes and Regulations
- Prior conceptual design experience for terraced housing preferred
- Possess a high level of proficiency in Excel, Archicad and/or Revit
- Be an effective and motivating manager/leader
- Be a great communicator across all parts of a business
- Pride yourself on attention to detail
- Handle pressure in a calm and measured way
