**Product & Contracting Manager - AAT Kings**

**The Role**

As a Product & Contracting Manager, you are responsible for the development, review and contracting of AAT Kings’ product within New Zealand to meet market and brand objectives.

Responsibilities will include:

- Identify new product development & improvement opportunities for inclusion in AAT Kings’ touring portfolio & itineraries
- Analyse direct and non-direct competitor offerings and activities and provide regular updates to the business
- Provide marketing, sales and reservations training including webinars on products
- Work with the pricing team on analysis of competitor offerings and provide recommendations
- Negotiate best possible hotel and ground supplier rates and room inventory in accordance with company and market requirements and within the pre-set objectives
- Maintain knowledge of day-to-day market developments within the defined procurement region/s
- Ensure the recommended room requirements meet evolving market needs based on historical usage and business forecast. Work with operations to ensure set minimum materialisations for all allocations held
- Maintain a pro-active relationship with suppliers including but not limited to site inspections, industry functions, face to face meetings and familiarisations trips where appropriate
- Support the business in obtaining FOC rooms for site inspections, staff travel and familiarisations
- Other administration duties as required

We are seeking a strong communicator and negotiator who is able to ensure that business needs are met whilst forging strong relationships with our partners and suppliers. You will be always on top of industry and destination trends to keep the AAT Kings Group as competitive as possible.

You will also:

- Have proven product and itinerary development experience
- Have prior experience in training sales and reservations teams
- Experience negotiating contracted rates and conditions
- Display a thorough understanding of the New Zealand and Australian market and destinations
- Come with established relationships with suppliers in the Australian tourism industry
- Prior experience using Tropics will be highly regarded
- Have strong organisational and time management skills, and an agile work manner
- Demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of The Travel Corporation’s New Zealand and Australian coach brands is highly desirable
