**Business Development Coordinator - Water**
- **Auckland or Wellington location**:

- **Work alongside the business, representing the voice of the client**:

- **Build market profile and strengthen partnerships**

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

Central to our operations is our Clients and Markets team, where we offer guidance, counsel, and assistance to all tiers of our organization in matters concerning optimal business development strategies and effective client engagement. Specifically collaborating with Beca's Water Team, you will leverage your expertise in pursuit and bid development to propel our business development endeavors. By aiding the team in activities aligned with their strategy, you will play a pivotal role in bolstering sales, enhancing our market presence, nurturing client relationships, and contributing to our overall triumph.

At Beca, our Business Development team spearheads the way, extending guidance, counsel, and support to both our technical and market-focused leaders. This presents a unique opportunity for you to actively participate in business development initiatives spanning New Zealand, while supporting endeavors that drive sales, cultivate market visibility, and fortify client connections. Situated within a dynamic Clients & Markets unit comprising nearly 60 professionals scattered across New Zealand and Australia, including experts in marketing, communications, and design, our Business Development team is ready to shape the future.

**This role is for a 12 month fixed-term Maternity Leave Cover.**

**Ko wai koe | About you**

A typical day for our Business Development team is centered around directly securing projects by offering guidance on pursuits and bids, leveraging our influence on client leaders to cultivate stronger relationships, aligning priorities with prevailing market trends, crafting compelling marketing materials and award submissions - and handling a myriad of tasks in between

Each member of our Business Development team is aligned with a specific business group or geographic region, all while being an integral part of the larger Clients & Markets team, providing mutual support and fostering growth. While we physically collaborate with our respective group/region stakeholders, we maintain regular connections with our team to exchange insights and collaboratively tackle business initiatives.

In close collaboration with another Senior Business Development Advisor who also oversees the Water Business Group, your role will encompass advising on pursuits and bids, as well as steering our strategic involvement in marketing, advertising, conferences, and awards. Your contribution will extend to pipeline management and sharing data-driven insights to influence decision-making. As the Water Services Reform Programme paves the way for new water entities nationwide, this role presents an exciting opportunity to shape our approach to new client development. Moreover, you'll play a vital role in securing projects with local/regional councils to facilitate a smooth transition in light of this reform.

If you're a proactive and dynamic individual looking to make a substantial impact in the realm of business development, we encourage you to consider joining our team. Your expertise and drive will be essential in driving our success.
