Our client is a progressive CA firm with a client base that consists of a wide range of medium and large entities, including many with complex structures.

Due to sustained growth and internal team dynamics, the opportunity has arisen for a business advisory manager to join their team. Based in a prime Auckland city location, the role offers attractive career progression opportunities.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

- full CA or CPA qualifications
- a minimum of 5-6 years current or recent NZ CA (preferably Big or mid-tier) experience in business advisory services
- previous experience with team management
- proven client/workflow management experience
- experience with client assignments involving IFRS reporting

The main duties and responsibilities defining this role include but are not limited to:

- managing, guiding and training a medium size team
- reviewing work files prepared by individual team members
- coordinating and managing the workflow of your team
- assisting the partner with managing relationships with clients, banks, lawyers and other external parties
- ensuring all client assignments are delivered within budget and specified deadlines
- assisting the partners with complex compliance and advisory assignments
- various other ad hoc tasks and responsibilities

This role will suit a self-driven managerial professional looking for a role that offers more flexibility, autonomy and direct support from the partners, without compromising on the quality of projects and the calibre of the clients.

Our client is open to consider high-end assistant managers ready and able to step up into a manager role.
