Chokdee Motueka Limited is looking for a skilled full-time kitchenhand to join our team. In order to keep our standard, the kitchenhand must be able to assist the Chef in the preparation and cooking of Thai food as required.

**Requirements**:

- At least NZ Register Level 1 qualification, or compulsory secondary education (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification)
- Knowledge of Thai food ingredients
- Knowledge of Thai food cooking techniques
- Assisting in delivering food to the front of house staff as needed.
- Acts with appropriate caution in a dangerous environment where there are knives and
- high-temperature surfaces
- Cooperate with other members so the team performs at its best
- Works quickly and accurately during busy periods, such as weekends and evenings
- Washing and cleaning utensils and dishes.
- Returning all utensils and dishes to the kitchen and storing them properly.
- Cleaning food preparation equipment, floors and areas.
- Assisting the Chef in the preparation and cooking of Thai food as required.
- Following directions about portion control, cooking standards and wastage.
- Preparing a high quantity of fresh ingredients in a timely manner.
- Occasional heavy lifting may be required.
- Assisting the Chef in using various Thai herbs and ingredients, and traditional
- methods of preparing dishes.
- Maintaining the order and cleanliness of the kitchens facilities.
- Dealing and disposing of waste in a safe and hygienic manner.
- Adhering to all aspects of licensing law, trading standards, food hygiene and health & safety.

**Other detail**
- This is a full-time and permanent position
- Wage payment is $28.18 per hour, and you will be paid weekly
- Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law
- You will be working at 109 High Street, Motueka
- We are open from Tuesday to Sunday, Lunch 11.30 pm - 2.30 pm, Dinner 5.00 pm 10.00 pm.
- You will work according to a roaster 5 - 6 days each week with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours).
