Make a difference as a Senior Underwriter

**Mō te Tūranga | About the Role**

We’re looking for an experienced Underwriter with expertise in Property, Motor and Liability products to join our Auckland-based team.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Underwriting predominantly renewal business, including rural risks
- Building and managing relationships with allocated brokers and agents
- Visiting clients when required, to retain existing business
- Managing day-to-day queries from brokers
- Working with the sales team to develop a strategic approach to key client relationships

This is a full-time permanent opportunity, with a hybrid working arrangement and the flexibility to be based at any of our Auckland offices (CBD, Albany or Sylvia Park). You will be visiting clients occasionally as a part of this role, so a Full Driver’s Licence is required. You will be working Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5pm.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Good knowledge of Property, Motor and Liability products
- Proven use of high levels of commercial underwriting authority
- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills
- Proven experience building relationships within the insurance broker market
