**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity***
We’re looking for an experienced nurse who has a passion for using your unique talents to grow our nursing skills across a variety of nursing care, within clinics and patients’ homes, with the goal of promoting optimum health and independence for patients, supporting a wide range of clinical care including palliative care, leg ulcer services, complex wound care and intravenous medication.
The Nurse Educator:
- Is responsible for promoting, facilitating and providing clinical education to maximise health care delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and promote clinical excellence and evidenced-based professional nursing practice.
- A key member of our Senior Nursing Team ensures our nursing team is fully equipped to deliver the best possible nursing.
As a Nurse Educator you will have the opportunity to develop and deliver training material along with contributing to the delivery of strategic objectives of the service which requires an ability to influence change and build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
**This is a part-time position working eight days per fortnight Monday to Friday.**

We are looking for a Nurse Educator who recognises, the world of medicine and health is ever-changing, who embraces evidence based clinical practice change to ensure our patients, whānau,, and communities thrive. You are committed to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori Health.
- Hold a RGN; RGON; RPN; RCpN with or without BN or BHSc (Nursing)
- Hold a current NZ Nursing Council Annual Practicing Certificate
- Be comfortable working in a culturally diverse organisation serving a diverse community
- Proven project and change management and/or nursing leadership
- Have at least 5 years nursing experience including 2 in a senior level (level 4)
- Be able to create and nurture an environment which encourages a team approach that achieves a high level of clinical effectiveness, efficiency and productivity
Delivers communication so that others can understand clearly
Ideally but not compulsory, you will have recently completed or be studying toward a relevant postgraduate qualification.
