**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

The Nurse Educator is responsible for promoting, facilitating and providing clinical education to maximise health care delivery, enhance patient outcomes, and promote clinical excellence and evidenced-based professional nursing practice.

The Nurse Educator, a key member of our Senior Nursing Team, ensures our nursing team is fully equipped to deliver the best possible nursing.

As a Nurse Educator you not only have to develop and deliver training material but also support the delivery of strategic objectives of the service which requires an ability to influence change and build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.

This is a Fixed Term, Full Time position. For a year.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**

We are looking for a Nurse Educator who recognises, that the world of medicine and health is ever-changing and are motivated to do what is right, not what is easy; to ensure our whānau, families, and communities thrive.
- A commitment to biculturalism
- Hold a RGN; RGON; RPN; RCpN with or without BN or BHSc (Nursing)
- Proven project management and/or nursing leadership
- Have at least 5 years nursing experience including 2 in a senior level (level 4)
- Ideally but not compulsory, you will have recently completed or be studying toward a relevant postgraduate qualification
- Background knowledge and experience in Stroke will be a strong advantage.
