Te tūranga - The role
The Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team are charged with leading the creation of a vision and systematic approach to deliver on that vision; for a more diverse, equitable and inclusive central bank and recognises the significance of interweaving a Te Ao Māori lens across Te Pūtea Matua.
The purpose of the Principal Advisor, Diversity Equity and Inclusion role is to provide strategic advice, leadership in the design and delivery of a comprehensive DEI strategy and programme, and work collaboratively to embed a whole of organisation approach to embed DE&I and lead systems level change in alignment with our organisational priorities, purpose vision and values.
The Principal Advisor will play a critical role across a number of areas.
- Embedding a DEI and Te Ao Māori lens across policy, processes and systems.
- Utilising gender and ethnic pay gap analyses and insights to develop comprehensive strategies and action plans.
- Develoing a robust organisational thought leadership strategy and implement initiatives that develop a DEI centre of excellence.
- Leading and contributing to critical initiatives such as diverse leadership and talent programmes, DEI learning and development opportunities and ensuring a DEI and TAM approach is embedded across core Directorate and TIPC programmes.
- Use qualitative and quantitative data to develop indicator frameworks, evaluation matrices and case studies to benchmark and monitor DEI outcomes.
- Communicating with credibility the linkage between proposed DEI initiatives, organisational strategies and the benefits to the organisation in a variety of fora.
Ō pūkenga - About you
As the Principal Adviser you will be an integral member of the team and will work closely with the Director to lead the strategic programme of work, manage relationships with senior leaders and other stakeholders along with providing support and coaching to other team members.
**You'll need to have**:
- Extensive experience and depth or breadth of expertise delivering DEI outcomes for complex organisation.
- The ability to collaborate across a number of stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence decision making across the organisation
