**Your Role**:
This role forms a critical part of Chubb New Zealand’s Property and Casualty Division. You will be a ‘go-to’ person at Chubb, with responsibility for the development and execution of relevant Small Commercial and Scheme (including Body Corporate) business strategies.

A key aim of this role is to take the Small Commercial Segment from a largely transactional underwriting approach currently to delivering seamless online customer experience with straight through processing incorporating low/no touch underwriting for intermediaries and customers by leveraging investment in platforms and digital tools along with actuarial analytics capabilities that Chubb intends to deliver.

**Your Responsibilities**:
Achieve allocated Sales Targets and KPI’s for all Small Commercial and Scheme Business

Responsible for implementing underwriting and portfolio management strategies for agreed Small Commercial and Scheme Business including the appropriate monitoring and control frameworks

Underwrite and negotiate renewals and new business in line with delegated authorities and within Company Guidelines

Work with Head of P&C, Product Line Managers and actuaries to develop product, platform and technology prioritisation and strategies for the small commercial business

Source and onboard new Small Commercial and Scheme opportunities including adherence to Chubb’s PDDP process and build a profile internally (including within COG and regionally) and in the market as Chubb’s Small Commercial Leader

Work with IT delivery teams to build and deliver market facing and underwriter platforms in line with platform and automation strategies

Assist the growth and development of the Company by proactively enhancing the profile of the Company through existing and new distribution channels

Ensure adherence to PDA and audit requirements including peer reviews

Facilitate training sessions and presentations to brokers and partners on underwriting appetite and understanding Chubb systems and platform capabilities

Responsible for effectively managing the performance of all team members, motivating and inspiring others towards achieving specific goals

**Qualifications**:
**Your Skills & Experience**:
Commercially aware, with a clear customer focus.

Excellent planning, project management and communication skills.

Exercise initiative and act proactively to drive and manage a range of distribution initiatives.

A self-starter, capable of working in a team or independently.

Able to travel to metropolitan and regional areas for broker engagements, Professional Development days and broker conferences, as required.

At least ten years’ experience across a broad range of Insurance products and services and/or marketing and communications, ideally in financial and professional services.
