**Description**:
Are you experienced in hydraulic modelling of catchments, rivers, floodplains, and estuaries? We’d love to help progress your career, in the context of a strong team with a diverse work portfolio, collaborating with colleagues around the country and around the world. Help us integrate modelling understanding into planning, optioneering, design and resilience solutions to clients’ challenges such as strategic infrastructure, population growth, water sensitive urban planning, natural hazards, managing aging assets, climate mitigation and adaptation, and more.
- Hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant science or engineering field, with at least 7 years of workplace experience in hydraulic modelling
- Proficient in GIS, report writing, and highly proficient in at least one 1D/2D hydraulic modelling package (TUFLOW, Mike by DHI, HEC-RAS, Infoworks ICM).
- Assist with maintaining and improving modelling innovation and best practice, plus mentoring of junior staff.
- Optional skills (advantage)
- coding, scripting, automation
- chartered or working towards
- hydrological and/or coastal boundary conditions, combined probability
- hydraulic design of river and/or stormwater management infrastructure.
