You will be responsible for running the business including, stock ordering, organising birthday parties, staffing and rostering, reporting to owners, running holiday programs and helping implement new initiatives to grow the business.
Open 7 days per week during the day the role offers good hours for hospitality workers. Our Playland is focused around interactive play for children, with a full cafe and barrister offering. School Holiday programs, after school care, parties and functions are the other revenue streams.
During opening times you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, coffee and food orders and processing of customers entry and bookings.
Your role is to not only manage the day-to-day activities but also to champion a positive experience for every guest. By leading with a proactive and versatile approach, you will be the driving force behind both customer satisfaction and our team's positive morale.
Key Responsibility
Managing a Fantastic Team:
Manage day to day responsibilities of full time, part time and casual Team Members.
Assist the Franchise Owner to recruit and hire new Team Members.
Conduct interviews with applicants and complete required documentation.
Complete full induction of new Team Members according to franchise guide lines and documentation.
Control staffing budgets.
Assist with the planning and preparation of work schedules and assign Team Members to specific duties and tasks - completed on a daily basis.
Ensure compliance of Team Members with established security, sales, safety and staffing procedures and practices.
Lead Team Member meetings on a regular basis.
Schedule and follow through with training for Team Members.
Centre Operations:
Maintain a high level of customer service standards.
Handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
Manage escalation of complaints to HQ or Franchise Owner.
Deliver a memorable birthday party experience.
Ensure café orders are being delivered in an acceptable time to a high quality.
Ensure the kitchen is operating efficiently to meet orders.
Make sure certain stock supplies, especially food, are received and stored correctly.
Delegate and ensure the housekeeping duties are shared fairly i.e. cleaning amenities, vacuuming floors,keeping stock rooms tidy etc.
Know how to use all aspects of the POS system and to train and retrain new and existing Team Members.
Input orders from suppliers in the retail system and price merchandise.
Know and ensure that the opening and closing procedures of the centre are implemented daily.
Bookkeeping and Budgets:
Complete all daily, weekly and monthly reports.
Complete banking procedures.
Marketing:
Communicate with HQ, share ideas and provide feedback on promotions.
Inform Team Members of upcoming promotions and prepare displays, staff rosters etc. to cater for the promotion.
Supervise the rotation of merchandise and food displays and menus.
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
