Material Supply Planner

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Material Supply Planner to join our dynamic Supply Chain team at GWF.
**About the Role**:
Reporting to the National Supply Chain Manager, this role is critical to ensure effective and efficient raw materials management to meet the business objectives to support a seamless 24/7 operation. The position is responsible for owning and executing the materials purchasing process for our three manufacturing sites in New Zealand.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure that ingredients and packaging are ordered to best practice without any disruption in supply
- Manage appropriate inventory levels and minimise loss due to stock write-off
- Collaborate with the Procurement team and the wider business to guarantee seamless supplier change overs
- Monitor and report product non-conformances and close these out in a timely manner
- Regularly review and report on raw material stock levels at national and site level
- Place regular orders for all ingredients and packaging & address any queries and requests on these orders
- Support seamless NZ-wide supply by balancing the stock between sites and ensure that site transfers take place smoothly
- Manage supply of products at offsite storage
- Lead the material planning documentation process and support the inventory team with other tasks as needed
- Contribute, promote good practice and role model safety in all aspects of role performance
**About You**:
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Diploma or degree in business, logistics, inventory management or related field
- Proven experience in a similar purchasing, planning, scheduling role with advanced SAP skills, specifically with MRP
- Effective communication skills to build solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Negotiation skills and tact
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain management
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a busy office environment
