We’re introducing a new Supply Planner role to our Operations Planning team. This is a unique opportunity to take initiative and help shape how the role evolves as we grow.
You’ll lead the development of a 36-month aggregate supply plan, aligning operational capabilities with KiwiRail’s strategic goals. Your work will directly support the smooth running of our supply chain - helping us deliver services efficiently and reliably.
**You will need**:
- Turn demand forecasts into clear, actionable supply plans
- Use data and scenario planning to assess risk and support robust decision-making
- Collaborate with leaders to refine capacity and resource planning
- Monitor and adjust supply plans in response to operational needs
- Present insights using visual and analytical tools

We’re looking for a supply planning professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys building strong working relationships.
**You’ll bring**:
- 3+ years’ experience in supply or capacity planning
- Strong data analysis skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with planning tools and reporting systems
- Confidence in balancing supply and demand across complex operations
- Collaborative mindset and effective communication skills
- Ability to adapt plans to meet changing needs
**Also required**:
- A relevant degree in supply chain, logistics, or analytics
- A current and valid NZ driver’s licence
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
**It’s a bonus if you have**:
- Industry experience in rail, logistics, or infrastructure
- Certifications in supply chain or planning tools
