- Advise on policy provisions and coverage for significant claims on local and global policies and report on progress and outcomes to colleagues in Legal, Finance and Operations.
- Review client contracts to ensure compliance with insurance-related requirements including, insurance requirements, indemnification, liability, waivers, and advise or negotiate improvements in terms.
- Support the development and success of our joint ventures and other teaming agreements to establish and agree appropriate insurance requirements among teaming members, utilizing project-specific insurance placements, where available.
- Play a key role in the annual renewal and administration of Jacobs insurance programs, both within the region and Jacobs global programs.
- Engage with internal colleagues to obtain required underwriting data for placement of both corporate and project-specific insurance policies.
- Support pursuit teams’ evaluation and use of project-specific insurance needs.
- Manage communications with insurers, brokers, outside counsel, and other service providers.
- Seek out improvement opportunities to enhance our risk management program effectiveness including process improvement initiatives, technology, and automation.
- Develop and deliver tailored training sessions to develop the knowledge and understanding of risk and insurance.
- Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, adjusting as priorities shift.
- Assist with annual budgeting and internal forecasting processes.

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- Bachelor’s degree in risk/insurance, business, law or related field, together with a recognized insurance qualification in underwriting or claims. - Minimum 10 years of industry experience in an insurance/risk management role gained with a broker, insurer, or claims adjustor.
- Exceptional knowledge of casualty and property coverage lines and policy mechanics.
- Strong understanding of indemnity provisions, contractual risk transfer, and general principles of tort and damages.
- Familiarity with global insurance program structures.
- Motivated to be part of a successful team, but also able to work independently.
- Strong desire to seek out learning opportunities.
- Clear ability to take initiative to define, analyze and effectively solve problems, seeking guidance as necessary, rather than waiting to be directed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ideally, you’ll also have:

- Engineering, construction, and technology industry knowledge.
- Knowledge of governmental entities and procurement processes.
- Other evidence of continuing professional education.
