We are looking at new ways of how best
to support disabled people (young and old) living on their own, with flatmates
or accessing respite while living in the family home. To bring about change we
need fresh ideas and a focused lens in our daily practices on person centred
thinking, embedding the principles of Enabling Good Lives (EGL) and increasing
our cultural awareness through acknowledging Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
You will enhance the connection to
family and friends and forge meaningful linkages to the local community. We are
therefore seeking seven aspiring team leaders for our service delivery who will
lead teams of support workers in creating opportunities for greater
independence and choice and control.
These new

**positions are as follows**:
2 x 80-hour flexi team leaders
- across the services we provide in respite, physical disability, behaviours of
concern, family partnerships.
You have every second weekend rostered off and have two days off the
alternative week. You need to be versatile, flexible, quick to learn and
love the challenge of working across several services with shifts rostered in
advance in collaboration with the Group Leaders. These roles are to backfill
other team leaders for leave or when covering a vacancy. This role is $58,760
plus more than one house allowance of $7,500.
2 x 80-hour team leaders not
rostered but must be available to backfill and cover shifts as required in our
individual services. These
roles are usually Monday - Friday, 7am - 3.30pm however flexibility is
paramount as is the ability to be hands on including some afternoon and weekend
shifts. This role is $58,760 plus more than one house allowance of
$7,500.
1 x 80-hour flexi team leader
for children - s respite to
meet the needs of the service and have flexibility to work various shifts if
required. This role is $58,760 plus one house allowance of $5,000.
2 x 80-hour team leaders on
roster positions
usually Monday to Friday, 7.00am - 3.30pm; however must have flexibility to
swaps days and work afternoons or a weekend shift when there is a need to
ensure the safe support of people living in their homes. This role is $58,760
plus one house allowance of $5,000.
N.B. Live Life Disability Support are part of Te Whatu Ora
(Nelson/Marlborough) however we are not medical/clinical service.
Ko wai he kaitono tōtika? (Who is an

You will hold a minimum NZ Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Level
4), or an equivalent health or disability related qualification as assessed by
the Ministry of Health (see link below).
Experience working in the field of disability would be an advantage.

Appointment and ongoing employment will
be conditional upon criminal record/police checks - you must declare any
checks under the Children Act 2014 and a CYRAS check.
