Our products don't just serve ads or stream movies - they underpin our economy and touch people's lives. **Your new role** As a Software Specialist in Cloud Enablement (10XtheTX) you'll be part of our team that is at the forefront of ASB’s migration project into the Azure cloud. Being part of the Engineering Practice at ASB we encourage our teams to work autonomously in an agile way while actively growing their skills and expertise to continuously improve outcomes for our customers. You'll have the opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work that integrate on an enterprise scale, all while being part of a smaller squad that makes their own decisions about how to work through prioritisation - so your voice will be heard, and your opinions valued. We advocate for T-Shaped teams which will take you through all facets of engineering in any given day. We are looking for a mix of technical skills to support the following activities: - Automate and support infrastructure in Azure and On-prem with infrastructure-as-code solutions - Continuously improve processes and solutions to be scalable and highly available - Work with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and build tools to enable productivity - Monitoring, alerting and reporting on environments - Software design, development, and testing - Mentoring and uplifting Software Engineering practices **What you'll need to succeed** We'll value your proven initiative, problem solving abilities and leadership skills as we look for every engineer to lead from their position. With regards to background, the following capabilities are desirable: - Azure experience (Azure Certifications) - Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - Experience working within Agile and DevOps frameworks - 5+ years of development experience - Best practice standards in code development, quality and technical design. - Enterprise networking and Security knowledge Working at ASB: ASB's sense of who we are and what we stand for is grounded in our values.
