**About the role**

The Leading Hand Line Mechanic oversees the safe and collaborative delivery of high-quality overhead construction and maintenance works across the Northern region by ensuring safe and efficient site supervision. Reporting to the Team Leader, Overhead this role takes responsibility for workflow planning and site management, while providing mentoring and skills development in the team. This role may be required to travel outside the Northern region from time to time for training and emergency response.

**Experience**

Essential:

- Registered Distribution Line Mechanic with current practicing license
- Live line certification to glove and barrier levels
- Significant experience in overhead live line construction and maintenance
- Network operating competencies as deemed appropriate
- Experience in industry and related regulations
- Basic computer skills
- Current and valid driver's licence
- Relevant HT licence (Class 2, 4)
- Strong written and oral communication skills

Desirable:

- Supervisory experience
- HT licence (Class 5)
