The purpose of the CFO Portfolio is to assist the Governments and NZDF utilise resources to deliver an optimised military effect through the provision of strategic financial management services enabling integrated capability decisions.
We are seeking an enthusiastic team player to join our team who provide purchasing support to a wide range of departments with the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF). This role works closely with all NZDF staff to provide accurate, efficient, and timely goods and services purchasing to ensure that the NZDF's obligations to its suppliers and customers are met.
This is an entry level role ideally suited to someone who is really keen to learn and develop their skills.
You will provide support to your team where needed, no two days will be the same as you learn our systems and all about NZDF.
The role is 12month fixed term and ideally we are seeking someone who can start pretty much straight away. The role is based in Trentham within a awesome team who enjoy some laughs, shared morning teas and support each other 100%. Free onsite parking too.

You will have great communication skills and the ability to maintain a high level of quality assurance, as well as having a strong service delivery focus and a commitment to providing excellent customer service to all levels of the organisation.
It would be advantageous if you have some accounts, purchasing experience however this isn't a must, as we can teach you the technical skills. What is a must is a willingness to learn and be an awesome team member.

Low Level Security Clearance
- You **must** be a New Zealand citizen **or** you must hold New Zealand Permanent Residence **or** have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa.
- At minimum, you **must** hold New Zealand Permanent Residence **or** have a current New Zealand Residency Class Visa, **and** you must be a citizen of and have lived in Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, United States of America or New Zealand continuously for the last five (5) years.
- You must have a five (5) year background history that can be verified and assessed appropriately by the NZ Security Intelligence Service (NZSIS) to determine if you are suitable for a security clearance at this level.
