Hawke’s Bay Hospital, with its 364 beds, serves as a cornerstone of acute and elective care for the Hawke's Bay region. Our comprehensive range of medical and surgical specialties, including paediatrics and obstetrics & gynaecology, is complemented by a robust regional ICU team. **About Our Team**:
Our Intensive Care Unit caters to both Intensive Care and High Dependency patients, boasting a diverse team of nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals. We admit and transport adult and paediatric patients within Hawke’s Bay and to tertiary referral centres, offering opportunities for rotary wing and road transfers amidst the stunning landscape.

The Unit holds accreditation as a C12 unit under the CICM training program, with endorsements for General, Rural, and Paediatric training. We offer supportive working conditions round the clock, prioritizing continuous learning and professional development through multidisciplinary teaching and simulation training.

**About You**:

- We welcome Registrars from various backgrounds, including Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, Medicine, Surgery, Anaesthesia, Palliative Care, and Rural Medicine.
- Must have completed a BASIC course prior to commencement or have a course planned within the first month of employment.
- Applicants must be registered, or eligible for registration, with the **Medical Council** of New Zealand
