As part of the Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki |Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA), we are committed to providing exceptional early childhood education. Our kindergarten fosters a love of learning through play, exploration, and connection with nature. We value strong whānau partnerships and a welcoming community for all.

**Your Role**:

- ** Strategic Leadership**: Develop and implement a shared vision for the kindergarten, aligning with AKA's strategic goals.
- ** Team Development**: Build a high-performing team through mentorship, coaching, and professional development.
- ** Curriculum Leadership**: Ensure alignment with Te Whāriki, promote play-based learning, and foster a culture of inquiry.
- ** Whānau Partnerships**: Build strong relationships with whānau, creating a sense of belonging and collaboration.
- ** Operational Management**: Oversee daily operations, manage resources, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience as a Head Kaiako in an early childhood setting.
- Qualified and registered ECE Kaiako with a current first aid certificate.
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and mentorship.
- Deep understanding of Te Whāriki and its implementation in practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with whānau, staff, and the community.
- Demonstrated ability in curriculum planning, assessment, and evaluation.
- Knowledge of ECE regulations and compliance requirements.
- Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to lifelong learning.
