**Korero mo te turanga - About the role**

Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Survey Manager. The role will require someone to manage the annual university survey programme and provide expert advice on the best practices in the design, coordination, implementation, analysis and reporting on staff and student surveys for the evaluation and improvement of university programmes, practices, and policies.

Key responsibilities:

- Maintain core customer relationships and communication channels to disseminate information.
- Identify trends and plan for institutional shifts in strategy.
- Report on changes and developments.
- Comply with ethical data practices and privacy policies to ensure proper storage and accessibility of sensitive and confidential information.

You will be a motivated, customer-focused individual who can take the initiative, provide excellent administration and policy compliance.

You will thrive in this role with an excellent manner with people, an ability to influence and manage conflict, strong attention to detail, and self-management skills. This role is busy, challenging, extremely rewarding and interesting for the individual with the right temperament.

Key requirements:

- A relevant tertiary qualification such as information management or a social sciences degree.
- Experience managing multiple activities and unpredictable workloads in high pressure situations.
- Well-developed organisational skills, with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously and able to manage competing demands and priorities.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic cross-disciplinary environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and influentially with people from all levels of an organisation.
- Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills.
- Strong programme and project management skills.
- Ability to provide comprehensive analysis and advice that supports business improvement.
- Experience with data collection and surveying tools (e.g., Qualtrics, 1000Minds, etc.).
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, Microsoft Excel, R, etc).
- Experience with reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Knowledge of and experience working with survey methodologies.
- Ability to innovate on processes to provide best practices.
- Experience in a position requiring attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and the ability to work unsupervised.
