**The Role**

Alongside underwriting responsibilities, you’ll provide coaching and technical support to our team of Personal Lines Underwriters, sharing your knowledge and helping build capability within the team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Underwrite new business, renewals, and referrals in line with Ando’s standards and risk appetite.
- Provide timely, accurate quotes and maintain strong broker relationships.
- Act as the first level of technical referral for Personal Lines Underwriters.
- Share expertise through mentoring, coaching, and contributing to learning and development initiatives.
- Support service level agreements with brokers and assist with broker complaint management.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to team projects.
- Stay up to date with market trends, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements.

**What We’re Looking For**
- Around 5+ years’ experience in Personal Lines underwriting, ideally with exposure to the intermediated market.
- Strong understanding of underwriting principles, risk assessment, and policy development.
- ANZIIF qualification (Cert/Dip) or equivalent insurance qualifications highly regarded.
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding broker and customer service.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex concepts in plain language.
- A team player with integrity, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to supporting others.
