We are seeking an experienced Kaiako to teach our Year 1 group; to plan, assess, and motivate students’ learning; and be prepared to undertake research within the teaching department to maintain a high-quality program. This position is based at our Waiwhero Campus in Rotorua.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for tauira (students) success through education. Applicants must be able to demonstrate curriculum strengths including current knowledge of the New Zealand curriculum and be strong in leadership experience in Numeracy and Literacy.

**The ideal applicants will have or be willing to obtain the following requirements**:

- NZ Certificate in Adult & Tertiary Teaching Level 5 or equivalent,
- Proven teaching experience in Primary Education, and
- Must be registered with New Zealand’s Teachers Council and hold a current practicing certificate.

**Āhuatanga Māori**:

- Have a good understanding of Tikanga, āhuatanga and mātauranga Māori,
- Activity engage in Māori culture activities within the organisation such as Karakia, Pōwhiri and Whakatau,
- Demonstrate basic proficiency in Te Reo Māori.
