**About the role**:
We are seeking a Kaiako (tutor) to deliver our Kāwai Raupapa - Certificate in Māori & Indigenous Arts programme, which involves but is not limited to: developing lesson plans, presenting material to tauira (students), responding to tauira learning needs, and evaluating tauira progress. Some flexibility may be required to work some weekends and evenings
**About you**:
Ideally, applicants will have:
- Te Maunga Kura Toi - Bachelor degree in Māori Art or similar, with a focus on Rauangi
- NZ Certificate in Adult Tertiary Teaching Level 5 (NZCATT) or equivalent, or be willing to complete in the first year of employment
- Full NZ Driver License
**Experience**:
- Proven experience in a related role
- Adult teaching experience
- Whilst teaching experience is highly valued at TWoA, newly qualified Kaiako with relevant qualifications but with no or limited previous teaching experience will also be considered._
**Āhuatanga Māori**:
- Able to understand and converse in te reo Māori at an intermediate level
- Engages in cultural activities (e.g. Karakia, Pōwhiri/Whakatau) and has a sound understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga)
