The Road Amenity and Asset Protection Team look after all activities happening within the legal road, from private boundary to private boundary. Our work is varied, and one of these aspects is managing Council's landscape assets on the road, we are there to make sure the community can use this area safely.

**About the role | Ko te mahi nei**

The Operational Delivery Lead Road Landscapes is responsible for providing effective administration and management of the Road Landscape contract. Working closely with our teams Tree Arborist you will provide support and information in a variety of areas, ensuring quality standards and customer service expectations are met while achieving environmental, social and economic efficiencies. This is done through:

- Managing the capital and maintenance of the Transport Unit's Road landscape assets in the transport road corridor
- Providing expert technical advice and work with the Road Amenity and Asset Protection Team Leader, the Engineer's Representative, and Operations Manager Transport
- Advising and collaborating with the Contractors, ensuring that all work is completed to specification and to agreed quality standards
- Maintaining positive relationships with Contractors, NZTA and other agencies
- Managing contract work timetables, ensuring projects and Council works are accomplished with maximum unity

**About you | Ko Koe Tēnei**
- A qualification in horticulture or extensive experience in a similar role
- 5 years of contract management experience
- A demonstrable knowledge of and passion for managing Road Landscape assets
- The ability to work self directedly as well as in a team environment
- Finance and project management experience
- Strong customer and relationship management skills
