**Mō tō mātou Rōpū | About the team**

A key focus of the Culture & Capability team is the leadership and delivery of the organisation's capability strategy and programme, across leadership, management, cultural and regulatory capabilities working in collaboration across our organisation.

The team is also responsible for leading our work programme, Weaving the Cloak - Whiria te tāngata, focused on building and embedding our values and key capabilities. This includes ensuring integrated delivery, enabling synergies and connections, supporting prioritisation and phasing, and delivering high quality analytics and performance reporting. The team is also responsible for the design and delivery of strategies and initiatives in relation to environmental sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion, and connection and works closely with the Kaihautū Māori on delivery of Tā Mātou Rautaki Māori.

**Te tūnga | The role**

As the Manager Culture and Capability you'll be responsible for developing and leading a team of professionals focused on delivering and embedding our key organisational strategic goals around culture and capability at Maritime New Zealand. You will have passion and drive for lifting capability and nurturing a positive and inclusive organisational culture. You will also be a key member of the leadership team of the Office of the CE, People and Capability.

- Strong people leadership experience in a similar role including leading culture and capability development related functions;
- A passion for developing talent and building highly engaged teams;
- A high level of confidentiality and discretion;
- Ability to work strategically and think at system wide level;
- Well-developed organisational skills and strong attention to detail;
- Ability to network and influence at all levels;
- Political acumen and an understanding of the Public Sector;
- Commitment to working in a culturally safe and respectful manner and having regard to Te Ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles.

**Salary range** $163,956 - $180,361 depending on skills and experience + superannuation.
