We are on the search for a focused, driven Sales Account Manager for our Wellington branch.

This role is to assist us with the growth and development of our customer base in the Foodservices category with much focus on Meat/Smallgoods. This will ideally suit someone who has some sales experience, especially in the foodservices industry.

We directly import over 4000 products from over 20 countries and supplement this with 8000 plus locally produced products. We supply to Cafes, Restaurants, Hotels, Quick Service Restaurant Chains, Manufacturers, Retailers, Distributors, and exporters nationwide.

With over 800+ team members, operating more than 200 trucks with 18 strategically placed branches across New Zealand, you’ll be part of a team that ensures service remains second to none.

**The role**:
Being an Account Manager with us offers a great blend of business development and account management. Most of your time will be spent prospecting your network to target a wide variety of different-sized clients across the Wellington region. You will be supported by the wider team to succeed and be given autonomy to use your initiative to develop your own pipeline and build ongoing customer relations. The Account Manager will also:

- Spend time with their inherited portfolio of warm accounts to manage and grow, ensuring to keep an active call cycle to support high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Will ensure effective budgetary control over sales expenses, returns and promotional expenses against sales target.
- Work closely with our Procurement and Warehouse Operations to ensure accurate product forecasting to meet sales trends, customer and supplier needs.

**The person**:
As you will be playing a lead role in capturing sales opportunities, your passion for building rapport and long-lasting customer relationships is crucial.

You will:

- Be a confident and effective communicator
- Have relevant trade/hospitality experience.
- Have the problem-solving skills employing a solutions-focused approach to partner with our clients and grow with them.
- Intermediate computer skills
- A tertiary qualification is desirable
- Have good grasp of analytical and product knowledge is essential to deliver exceptional results
- Salesforce knowledge is a bonus, not mandatory
- Lead generation and business development are key elements of the role so your strong network of contacts will be advantageous.
