Currently we are looking for a cook who can perform in a fast paced work environment. You will need to work diligently to achieve customer satisfaction. The job is rostered, and flexibility is important. A minimum of 30 hours / week and a maximum of 45 hours / week are available. We will offer a minimum of $29.70/ hour and maximum of $30 / hour depending on your experience and skills. Work on weekends is also essential.
**Job Description**:
- You are responsible of examining foodstuffs and ensure quality.
- Regulating temperature of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment.
- Preparing, cooking and seasoning food during cooking.
- Portioning food, packing and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes.
- Storing leftover food in temperature controlled facilities.
- If required, preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.
- Required to prepare and plan menu and estimate food requirements.
- It is your responsibility to determine the customers satisfaction.
- You would be responsible to follow the companys Service Standards.
- Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
- It is your responsibility of cleaning the cooking area Ensuring and enforcing food and hygiene regulations.
- Responsibility to Freeze and preserve food.
- Responsibility to train new staff and work with them.
**Requirements**:
You should have at least two years of experience working as a cook / chef. Onsite training would be provided for the job.
