Up for a challenge? We know about projects, but we need you to help us develop our data analytics tools. In this newly created Data Engineer role, you’ll be put in the ‘driving seat’ to develop tools and analytics to take our project reporting to uncharted territory, with the support of a great ‘instructor’ beside you, who will be hands on with advice and guidance.
You’ll be transforming raw data into valuable insights, and building the tools to present these findings in a way that our project teams and clients can easily understand. This is a great opportunity to join an established business, in an exciting new phase of innovation.
You might be straight out of studying data or maths at Uni, or have a couple of years’ of experience to your name - whatever your starting point is, we can help accelerate it in a positive, fun and dynamic team environment.

**The Role**
We challenge you to unlock your inner innovator and really make your mark on this role Be our pioneer in looking for new ways to develop tools and systems to collate project data and provide the reporting intelligence behind our projects.
Here’s a snapshot of your main responsibilities:
- Gathering and compiling construction-related data from various sources.
- Preparing regular reports and dashboards.
- Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data - you’ll be right on top of validating and testing procedures.
- Collaborating with the wider TBIG team to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.
- Maintain data privacy and security standards - you know all about data regulations
**Here’s what we need from you**:
- A professional and can-do attitude towards working collaboratively and collectively with the wider TBIG team and our clients.
- An analytical mindset with strong problem solving and attention to detail abilities.
- Awesome skills with the technical tools you’ll need to crunch the data
- A passion for supporting innovation and trying new things.
- Great communication skills - you know how to make the tech talk clear for non-techies
- A desire to look for solutions and proactively identify opportunities for improvements.
- You’re curious to learn and interested in the construction/property sector
**Your experience needs to include**:
- Minimum tertiary level qualification in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field.
- A strong user of Microsoft Office and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Python and Power Apps.
- Knowledge of data modelling and statistical analysis techniques.
- Experience in data cleaning, manipulation and transformation.
- Knowledge of, or a connection to the construction sector would be of benefit.
