Te tūnga | The roles
We are recruiting for a number of analyst roles across the Economic and Environmental Insights (E&EI) teams. E&EI produce a range of statistics that measure different facets of NZ's economy and environment and are key to informing government, businesses, researchers, international stakeholders and every day New Zealanders. Our products include the consumer price index, international trade statistics, Tatauranga umanga Maori - statistics on Maori businesses, quarterly gross domestic product, balance of payments, and quarterly greenhouse gas emissions.

We have multiple vacancies in Christchurch and Wellington for the below roles. Please click on the job titles to open the position descriptions for detail about each of the roles:

- Statistical & Data Analysts (starting salary $70,819 - $82,610 + superannuation)
- Insights Analysts (starting salary $80,571 - $94,084 + superannuation)
- Statistical & Design Analysts (starting salary $80,571 - $94,084 + superannuation)
- Senior Design Analysts (starting salary $93,177 - $124,651 + superannuation)

These roles span data collection, validation, compilation, analysis and publication of data and release materials.

You may work on the development of new statistics or the enhancement and re-development of existing statistics, to ensure our data reflect the contemporary context and meet the needs of our customers. Having an innovative/continuous improvement mindset is key to identifying, proposing and delivering improvements to systems, processes, methodologies, products and insights.
