Are you an experienced Information/Data professional with a passion for architecting robust and innovative Information solutions? Join our dynamic team at Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) as an IT Domain Architect and contribute to shaping the future of our digital Information infrastructure.

**Responsibilities**:
Need to include
Data structures
Data Standards a from logical to physical
Understanding implication of legislation upon data needs

**Information Strategy**: Develop and implement the Information architectural strategy and associated roadmaps for the Information domain within the Ministry, in alignment with the organization's goals and objectives. Analyse business requirements and design scalable, secure, and efficient IT Information platforms and solutions.

**Solution Design**: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. Design end-to-end Information platform solutions, including hardware, software, networks, and Information points. Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and regulations.

**Technology Evaluation**: Assess new Information technologies, tools, and platforms to determine their suitability for the organization. Conduct feasibility studies, proof of concepts, and cost-benefit analyses. Provide recommendations and make informed decisions on technology investments.

**Risk Assessment and Security**: Identify and evaluate potential risks and vulnerabilities within the IT domain. Collaborate with the security team to develop and implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.

**Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement**: Work closely with internal teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to understand their requirements and address their concerns. Build strong relationships, foster effective communication, and facilitate collaboration to deliver successful outcomes.

**Pattern and Standards**: Assess and review the need for patterns and standards across the Information Domain, ensuring the alignment of solutions towards the standards and patterns by Solution Architects and partners.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience (8+ years) as an IT Information/Data architect, with expertise in the specific system Information Domain.
- Strong knowledge of IT architecture frameworks, principles, and methodologies.
- Experience in designing and implementing enterprise-scale IT solutions.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies and architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with government regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Understanding of various delivery methodologies (e.g., PRINTE2, PMP, SAFe) is desirable.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
