**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

We have a permanent, part-time opportunity for a Receptionist/Administrator who would be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the reception in the School Office. The successful applicant would work closely with professional and academic staff and assist students and visitors as well as receive deliveries to ensure an efficient and welcoming image of the school.

Reporting to the School of Art & Design's School Manager, the position is committed to supporting staff and student practice-based research and curriculum, and the development of contemporary art and design.

**He kōrero mōu | About you**
- Experience in office reception in an educational institution or business.
- Administrative, planning, and organisational skills to support a busy academic office with enquiries from many areas.
- Knowledge of office practice is required as is the ability to work both independently and collectively.
- Skills and experience in administrative processes (academic, financial, and operational) along with a high level of communication ability in developing and maintaining collegial relationships with colleagues, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge and practice in the principles of equity and diversity with a commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and kaupapa Māori led initiatives.

**Tohu tohu | Qualifications**:
Appropriate professional office experience preferably in a tertiary educational environment.

**Start Date**:As soon as possible.
