**Your Role**:
Produce a high-quality work product on technical complex claims through immediate contact and the effective investigation, reserving and adjustment of claims incurred by insureds or third parties. This role requires a high degree of technical expertise as you will be a technical referral point for the team.
**Your Responsibilities**:
Proactively manage a significant portfolio of Property claims, providing an efficient and professional service within the delegated authority, and in accordance with Chubb’s Best Practice claim guidelines
Conduct investigations of all aspects of reported claims including potential fraud. Secure and/or file all supporting documentation and verify same for accuracy, relationship and completeness.
Ensuring the loss reserves are set and maintained in accordance with the Chubb Insurance guidelines
Seek technical assistance in handling claims exceeding delegated authority.
Maintain an active diary. Monitor same to achieve timely development of the file and timely disposition of the claim.
Promptly and properly document all developments on claim file.
Exercise good judgement in reaching final disposition of claim by evaluating nature of loss, liability, damage, coverage provided and applicable limits.
Assist the A&NZ Claims Management Team to identify and implement processes and procedures that will deliver the best level of claims service and outcomes at the right cost
Maintain and build positive relationships with all customers, internal and external
Effectively negotiate compromise settlements where appropriate.

Recognise and pursue subrogation where applicable.
Adhere the Fair Insurance Code and all other relevant statutory rules and regulations.
Any other duties as required by the Claims Manager
**Qualifications**:
Your Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Law preferred
3+ years experience in managing Property Claims
Demonstrated investigation skills and experience with Insurance contracts and Litigation procedures
Effective written and verbal communication related to claims handling.
Strong negotiation skills and experience with Damage and/or loss evaluation
