Here at the Christchurch City Council Parks Unit, we are a friendly bunch, we are passionate about what we do and look forward to supporting your learning.

This internship project has been designed by the Christchurch City Council Parks Team, and is intended to give you the essential skills and knowledge of planting garden beds.

**What is a typical day as an Community Planting Intern**
- Liaise with CCC plant nursery to coordinate pick up and delivery of plants
- Soil Preparation
- Planting
- Watering
- Identify plants for removal or pruning

**What will I expect to achieve?**
- Work alongside and gain experience from qualified horticulturists
- Learn how to interpret and implement planting plans
- Gain experience seasonal planting

**Qualifications and experience?**
- Landscape Architects and any horticultural, viticultural, or agricultural courses /departments
- This is an unpaid/voluntary summer internship with the Christchurch City Council._
- Location: _Civic Office, Hereford Street
- Salary: Unpaid/Voluntary_
- Hours:_ Flexible and agreed upon dependent on the individual schedule. Internship will start Semester One
