**ABOUT THE ROLE** Lead the country Field Sales Teams to achieve area double digit growth year on year, sales objectives, business development and deliver exceptional service to our customers in the market. **RESPONSIBILITIES**: - Participate, develop and implement key management protocols within the sales team - To take ownership Develop and exceed sales targets through the local implementation of the Country Sales Plan utilizing standard sales driven management tools - Recruit, develop and manage a high-performance team of field sales personnel by setting, implementing and communicating and monitoring aligned goals and objectives. - Manage the sales process using the current best practice sales tools within the RS Group develop and implement new tools as required to meet reporting and development of the NZ business**.** - Lead the Field Sales Team team to drive Corporate Account, Key Account and Standard Account sales, New Business development in the geography. - Manage the PFKC process to ensure RS is a major supplier to the tier one companies in both the North and South Island of New Zealand. - Ensure customer data and segmentation for the geography is managed and maintained to enable accurate analysis of trends and KPMs, and to maximize marketing campaign outcomes. - Lead the area sales team to achieve high levels of employee engagement and performance in line with the strategic objective to develop a “highly engaged and passionate workforce” - Ensure maintenance of accurate and up-to-date data within the Pivotal CRM system - Use financial and customer data to analyse and plan effective territory coverage to exceed territory sales/growth targets. - Develop new regional areas and prepare documentation for approval of new hires - To prepare, plan and run effective sales team meetings to deliver and monitor the company and regional objectives using the current Australasian sales tools - Provide monthly reports on sales and KPM achievement - Participate in the Australasian Flash calls and present accurate data to + or - 3% on sales to ensure the Management team can be fully aware of where the business will be positioned towards each week and month end. - Identify and proactively develop immediate successor to have the confidence, competence, and commitment to lead the team/project when in need - Lead the team to achieve high levels of employee engagement and performance in line with strategic objective to develop a "high performance and passionate workforce" **REQUIREMENTS** - Ability to Manage and develop a Performance Team and Work across countries within the Australasian Region - Experience of Major Account Management and proven track record in Sales, preferably in a technical environment. - Results driven - Graduate or equivalent preferred, with a Business/Management qualification - People Management skills and experience of managing a remote team - Proven track record in building, retaining and motivating a high performance team. - Financial and business awareness with good analytical skills. - Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel. - Excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills. - Ability to take ownership and set own goals and priorities. - Skills in recruiting, developing, coaching, motivating and retaining a high performance team. - Influencing, internal networking, and cross-function collaboration skills in a matrix organisation - Performance Management Skills
