We have an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Specialist on a permanent basis within the finance industry. Based in Newmarket, Auckland, this role will provide assistance to the Payroll and People and Culture team with process improvements, remuneration, systems changes, reporting and governance.
What you will be responsible for:
- Supporting payroll administration with onboarding and offboarding across NZ and Australia.
- Employee data and reporting for People dashboard and adhoc reporting.
- Providing assistance to the Talent Acquisition team with the creation of contracts, due diligence checks, and general recruitment activities.
- Providing coordination for annual core activities such as performance reviews, end of year, and remuneration processes with governance, processes, and efficiencies of assigned P&C systems.
- Completing monthly Risk & Compliance reporting.
- People data dashboard creation.
- Overall People & Culture governance.
What you will bring to the team:
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll is essential.
- Experience with HRIS systems, process or reporting.
- Exposure to financial or data-driven reporting.
- Very effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective and accurate written skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills - specifically Excel, PowerPoint.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Pragmatic and ability to manage ambiguity successfully.
- Ability to build constructive relationships across all levels of the business.
