**About us**:
UCC Coffee is a leading force in the fresh coffee industry across Australia and New Zealand, dedicated to delivering exceptional quality and taste to coffee lovers. Our commitment to excellence extends from sourcing the finest beans to crafting superior blends.
**Why join us as our Payroll Specialist?**
As our Payroll Specialist, you’ll ensure employees are paid accurately and on time, while staying compliant with New Zealand tax and employment laws.
You will drive success by:
- Providing expert advice to the wider business on a range of payroll-related matters, leveraging your in-depth knowledge of NZ payroll legislation.
- Staying up to date on the latest legislative changes to ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll processing.
- Running payroll processes efficiently, ensuring data integrity, and the ability to operate independently.
**Who are we looking for?**
We are looking for someone with a solid background in payroll processing and at least 2-3 years of experience in New Zealand payroll legislation (AU experience is beneficial). Experience with MYOB software would also be beneficial
However, it's not just about technical skills—you will be a natural problem-solver with a customer-focused mindset, able to communicate complex payroll matters with clarity and confidence. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will need to handle stakeholder queries independently. We’re also looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a knack for identifying efficiencies, always seeking to enhance processes and systems where possible.
Although our business is transitioning to more advanced payroll systems, we currently operate in a relatively manual environment, so we need someone who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and handling hands-on tasks.
**What we offer?**
Joining our business means immersing yourself in the world of coffee and leveraging exciting learning opportunities across our Australia and New Zealand UCC business. Our commitment to your growth includes career development, coffee, and a focus on your wellbeing, offering "recharge leave" which is five additional days annually to recharge in your preferred way.
