**He angitūtanga: The opportunity**
Te Puke ō Tara Community Centre is looking for an engaging Programme Coordinator, to join our friendly and diverse team, located in Ōtara. The facility offers a wide range of activities including, programmes, pop-up events, and creative workshops for all ages.

We are seeking a proactive individual that can easily connect and build relationships within our community, in line with local board priorities. This position will support our Community Programme Specialist with creating opportunities and partnerships with the local community and coordinate compelling programmes and events.

The role is responsible for managing key stakeholder relationships with tutors and programme providers, promoting activities through the community social media platforms, organising service agreements, setting up payments for tutors and arranging the programming schedule.

This role works within a small, dedicated team to deliver an exciting annual programme of exhibitions and events that make an impact on the community.

**He kōrero mōu: About you**
Te Puke ō Tara Community Centre requires someone with excellent communication skills who can work independently and someone who works effectively within a small passionate team. To also be innovative and bring new ideas and initiatives.

It goes without saying that you’ll have knowledge and passion for people and what it brings to a community and your ability to work with a creative community and achieve deadlines will play a big part in your success in this role.

**The person we are looking for will have**:

- Proven experience working within the arts and culture or community development or event delivery environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience working with a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills and ability to work to multiple deadlines and conflicting priorities.
- A connection to the local community and a desire to increase engagement and outreach opportunities.
- Social media savvy with ability to pick up new software systems and knowledge of Adobe Creative suite advantageous.
- Understanding of the importance of relationships with Māori in Tāmaki Makaurau and are committed to the recognition of te ao Māori in this role.

**Ngā āhuatanga kei a mātou: What we offer**
This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday - Friday with the occasional Saturday.
