**About the Role**:
The Insight Access team is part of ACC’s Customer Research system, and are responsible for the curation, integration and communication of ACC insight. We design, develop and maintain evidence and insight products to meet and anticipate business needs, including Whetū Mārama - ACC’s data and evidence platform.
We are looking for a **Visual Designer **to lead the design and delivery of visually engaging, innovative, and functional artefacts and products to help the business understand our insights and build solutions for our customers. This role will work collaboratively, creatively, and flexibly alongside Product Designers, Researchers and other specialists within interdisciplinary teams across the business, exploring and developing tangible design concepts, helping to define strategy, and communicating customer insights and data to broad audiences. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working within a digital landscape, the ability to work within brand guidelines, and a creative mind who is keen to learn from others. An interest in in design thinking and user experience design would also be beneficial.
**Responsibilities will include**:
- Present insights and information visually so that information is easy to read, easy to understand and easy to find.
- Gather and synthesize customer insight, data and business requirements from multiple sources to present insights and information visually so that information is easy to read and understand.
- Understand ACC brand and identity guidelines, working with ACC Brand and Identity team to ensure design and identity requirements are maintained appropriately.
- Determine the key message(s) the design should portray and ensure the required messages are conveyed.
- Build strong working relationships with external design agencies and provide advice on commissioning design solutions.
**What we are looking for from you to be successful in this role**:
- Work experience within the visual design or related discipline of 2+ years
- Proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft 365 products.
- Expertise in Visual communication, data storytelling and visualisation, transforming complex ideas into a more digestible format for the users/organisations intent
- Experience in producing innovative and creative design solutions for a range of media.
- Experience working with stakeholders to scope design needs and objectives and recommend appropriate solutions.
