**About the Team**:
The Safety & Assurance Group is responsible for the governance and assurance of operational and organisational safety, security, risk, business improvement and auditing across Airways.
The Regulatory Assurance team has the responsibility for assuring regulatory compliance, and support Airways to maintain the current regulatory framework and set new compliance standards, for the provision of safe and efficient Air Traffic Services within New Zealand administered airspace and more broadly when it impacts the regulatory framework within Airways International.
**About the Role**:
We have an opening for a Regulatory Assurance Specialist to join our Safety & Assurance Group on a permanent full-time basis. With this being a national role, it can be based at our Auckland airport office or Christchurch campus in Burnside.
In this role you’ll support the Regulatory Assurance Manager in achieving a centre of excellence for compliance and regulatory expertise. This will see you working collaboratively with the CAA and other Airways business units towards achieving cross functional objectives to meet compliance, business, and operational needs.
You’ll provide expert advice and direction on regulatory requirements and Airways compliance to ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices, as well as the New Zealand CAA Rule Parts 141, 171, 172, 173. 174, 175, 65, 100 and other Rule Parts as appropriate.

**About You**:
For success, you’ll hold the ability to work in a dynamic business environment, influence and collaborate with people internally and externally, show resilience and agility, take ownership and focus on delivering successful business outcomes.
Additionally, you’ll hold:
- At least five years aviation experience gained within either an Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP), an airline, a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), or other aviation organisation.
- Proficient experience with Microsoft office suite including MS Teams and SharePoint.
- Exceptional people skills and values that meet or exceed Airways values.
Highly beneficial:
- Experience in aviation regulatory document review and policy development
- Understanding of ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices and of relevant NZ Civil Aviation Rules.
