About the role (your why)
The Assurance and Compliance Specialist (ANZ) role will support the delivery of a comprehensive Risk, Assurance and Compliance (RAC) program. Informed by an understanding of industry standards and controls, government legislation and regulations and internal Datacom policies will translate that knowledge into a practical program with the line of business to improve service delivery to our customers.

- Exposure to external regulatory audits
- Ability to liaise and negotiate effectively with all levels of staff
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills
- Ability to present information verbally and in reports in a succinct and compelling manner

**Responsibilities**:

- Identifying and addressing compliance risks with proactive assessment of processes, controls, and data to identify potential weaknesses and ensure compliance.
- Work with service line leaders to conduct gap analyses and develop mitigation plan/actions analysing situations to pinpoint potential issues before they escalate and recommending and implement corrective plans/actions.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews inline with the line of business’s Risk and Assurance Program to determine and track progress of plans/actions ensuring quality processes interface effectively with other processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant Government standards and controls (e.g. NZISM, AU Essential Eight) to develop and adhere to the respective Security assurance activities by conduct regular reviews to ensure all service lines effectively execute according to those process and standards.
- Monitor and track delivery of services against relevant quality standards, develop corrective action planning to address non-conformance to quality standards
- Escalate issues as required to management for risk management purposes
- Delivery of all relevant contracted articles to Government Lead Agency’s on an ongoing basis as outlined in any All of Government common capability Supplier/Partnership Agreements.
- Drive ongoing improvement and innovation through an ongoing program with the customer and delivery teams to identify and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Responsible for implementing a principle driven health and safety culture that cares for employees and ensures their safety in line with Datacom policy
