We are seeking an Team Leader in our Youth and Young adults residential home in Palmerston North.

As part of the Intensive Support Services team, you will assist our young people to live their best life to live as independently as possible, within our residential homes and community.

We are seeking a hands on Team leader who love playing board games and the outdoors. Somebody with a vibrant personal and can have a good laugh.

**About the role | He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga**

A Team Leader assists our youth and adults with disabilities to live as independently as possible, as well as leading and motivating their team. Your day will involve a range of responsibilities and could include:
Activities at home and in the community that are meaningful and purposeful to the people, including maximizing independence and involving Whanau. Support overall health and wellbeing of our youth and young adults

Household duties including meal preparation, daily care routines, and personal cares

Working together with a team to implement personal support plans consistently, with effective and positive teamwork and communication

Providing people with a warm and nurturing environment to live in, which is inclusive of ideas and feedback so that each person is supported towards their personal goals

**What you will bring | Ngā tohungatanga mō tēnei tūranga**

A level 4 certificate in Health and Wellbeing or a similar qualification

Relevant caregiving experience, including personal cares ideally with youth and young adults

Ideally leadership experience, or a genuine desire to develop your leadership expertise

Ability to tailor your leadership approach to meet individual learning styles

A warm, calm, and friendly personality with a passion for supporting people to achieve positive outcomes for themselves

Previous experience with working with youth and young adults

A full NZ Driver License and ability to transport passengers confidently and safely in our disability vans
