We are looking for a payroll and reporting specialist to join our newly formed Systems and Reporting team. This is a permanent position based in Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office.

Mō te tūranga l About the role
Reporting to the Systems and Reporting Manager, you'll be a key member of the team that is focussed on building a modern, innovative service. This newly established position leads the payroll processes and services as well as providing continuous improvement of all HR systems, business processes and reporting.
With the support of our Payroll Coordinator, you will oversee the delivery of our fortnightly end-to-end payroll/HRIS service ensuring our payroll processes run smoothly and employees have a seamless payroll experience.
Working closely with the Systems and Reporting Manager, you'll be responsible for the HR reporting requirements from co-ordinating responses to OIA's and PQ's, to regular and ad hoc people metrics, and our annual report data. You'll provide our people leaders with the insight and advice that aids good decision making for the organisation and informs our people strategy.

We are looking for a customer-centric, curious individual with a growth mindset. Our team is new and you will be confident building relationships across the organisation. Your background will ideally include:
- Experience as a senior payroll advisor/team lead, preferably with exposure or experience to reporting, system administration and/or business analysis practices
- Technical expertise in payroll /HRIS systems, and ideally experience with a variety of HR systems, in particular PayGlobal, Elmo and/or Springboard.
- Experience in developing performance metrics dashboards/scorecards
- Sound knowledge of legislation relating to Human Resources and Payroll activities, in particular the Holidays Act, Employment Relations Act, Wages Protection Act and the Privacy Act.
- Demonstrated expertise with the Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel. Power BI experience is desirable.
