Everything we do at Council has a 'location' base. Where our citizens live, work and play. From our Libraries, Rec 'n Sport through to the piping network, clean water, consents, wheelie bin collection, the services we provide has a spatial location. The Spatial Information Team exists to support the GIS and spatial technologies in the Council and provide innovative solutions.

Due to recent internal promotions, we are now looking for an experienced GIS professional to join our Spatial Information Team. (Intermediate level)

You will work alongside other GIS experts to deliver excellent spatial solutions for Council. You will enjoy working hands-on with spatial development, integrations, web and API development, 3D and mobile initiatives. You will also be able to provide technical input and guidance to the team.

To be successful you will:

- have proven experience geospatial technologies, strong SQL expertise, and excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills and experience
- keep current with technology trends, capabilities and product development
- enjoy working with different people from the Council to gain a good understanding of their business needs
- work well in a team, sharing ideas and knowledge

You will be working in a growing and innovative technical area, in a supportive team environment with varying expertise and skillsets. You have the chance to influence and contribute to the success of spatial information solutions for the Council.

**Additional information**:

- Hours of work_ - Permanent Fulltime Position
- Salary_ - $78,247 - $99,225 per annum
- Location_ - This position is primarily based at 53 Hereford Street, Christchurch.

Whilst staff working at the Christchurch City Council are not currently required to be vaccinated, applicants need to be aware that should the COVID-19 environment change, roles across the organisation will be assessed, and the requirement to be vaccinated may be reviewed.
